Patrik Ervell is an American-born desinger based in New York City. Ervell probably is the first designer who passed the political science test in US. He is a graduate of University of California, Berkeley where he studied political science, economics and art history. He became an editor of V magazine while he studied at Parsons School of Design. Ervell is a low-profile designer who disappears immediately from public’s sight view after every fashion show. There is no such information about his design concept on his website but the details, cuttings and the materials of his products . Based on the quality control of his works, Ervell is noted for using innovative and unusual fabrics including handmade rubber raincoats, vintage parachutes, also fabrics dyed with oxidized iron and copper. His designs are characterized as utilitarian, minimalist and elegant. Every stitches on his clothes are an all time beauty with tradition.
